Greyhound Adoption Center
Branding & Communications Overhaul
A regionally based dog rescue and adoption organization, Greyhound Adoption Center needed to improve and expand its outreach to adopters, volunteers, donors and other supporters. The group had a static legacy website and a stagnant database used for occasional print communications. As the board member acting as PR Director, I launched an overhaul of communications, including new branding, communications platforms and operations. See the slideshow for more information.

Green Campaign
During an economic downturn for the commercial construction industry, we helped our client launch a marketing and communications campaign highlighting its new area of business: Efficient Sustainable Practices (including solar installation, energy efficient building, recycling of materials). My company and I developed collateral material, a Power Point presentation for existing customers and prospects, placed bylined articles in industry publications, digital news, and earned media placements. The campaign also highlighted the company "walking the talk" with its own green practices.

United Way of Tri-State
Post-Crisis Pivot
Early in my career, a crisis hit United Way of America while I was serving as the VP of Communications for the metro New York regional United Way. Although United Way organizations are each independent, they share a brand, and most came under scrutiny following revelations of tax fraud and misuse of funds at the national level. After coping with the immediate crisis, what came next served as a great lesson in listening to your constituents, positioning and communications strategies.
